Charitable Purpose

The mission of the Cosy Homes Charitable Trust is transforming lives through healthier housing in Otago. We accomplish this through the following activities: -the development and implementation of programmes to promote healthy and warm homes within the Otago region -the promotion of warm and dry housing within the Otago region -the promotion of activities directed towards energy efficiency in the households of those on low incomes -the promotion of prudent practices in energy use, energy safety and energy conservation -the education of members of the public in the principles of energy conservation, energy efficiency, energy safety and the economic and health benefits flowing from these principles -conducting or provision of funding to facilitate energy related research including the health and safety benefits, and the publicaton and promotion of the findings of any such research -development and advocacy of strategies and services to the Otago Community, Local and Central Government
