Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide an artistic and educational environment that will benefit the Whau area - comprising the suburbs of Avondale, New Lynn, Kelston, Green Bay, Rosebank, Waterview, Blockhouse Bay and New Windsor - through community arts projects and events, bringing together artists and community to empower and educate. We do this by facilitating and carrying out a range of community arts projects, working with specific communities of interest, artists and the wider public. We provide spaces for community based arts events and education programmes to be organised, assembled and a platform to share them with the wider community. Through this we encourage connection and cohesion through the arts and within the community of the Whau area.
