Entity Structure

HRVT is a charitable trust formed by Dr Simon McDonald in 2014. The 22 metre sailing waka 'Hinemoana' was purchased for the benefit of youth development (similar concept to Spirit of New Zealand) with a unique ocean based kaupapa Maori programme structure. These 8 day youth development voyages are offered to 14 to 19 year olds throughout New Zealand. Hinemoana is berthed at the Tauranga Bridge Marina and they have operations staff in both Rotorua and Tauranga.
