Charitable Purpose
The charitable purpose of Te Puna Whakareia a Rakeiao Marae Trust is to govern, administer and preserve the Marae and Urupa. The Trustees shall in relation to the Marae always have regard to the benefit and well-being of the beneficiaries who are all those persons who whakapapa to Ngati Rangiunuora hapu. Use of marae is for tangihanga, hurakohatu, marena, wananga, huihuinga, huritau, whakangahau, manaki manuhiri, Iwi taketake, schools, sports, kapahaka practices and in civil defense emergency.

Entity Structure
Te Puna Whakareia a Rakeiao Marae Trustees govern and administer the marae, a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of Ngati Rangiunuora (Gazette 19/08/1974). The Urupa and Marae (Haumingi 15) are vested in the Trustees pursuant to S338(7) and S439 of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act. Administrative positions are elected by trustees. The Marae is available to ropu visiting the area requiring accommodation, dining facilities etc. Bookings are via secretary.
