Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Japanese for Kids Himawari is a young learner’s group taught by experienced Japanese teachers and offers a Japanese style pre-school experience. We offer an enjoyable and environment that children can hear and speak lots of Japanese. 1. To provide a safe, caring, fun and educational learning environment for preschool aged children and their whanau/families in Auckland and surrounding districts. 2. To provide information, education and resources that promotes the well-being of children and their whanau/families, language learning and cultural understanding. 3. To promote cultural understanding and diversity as a positive strength that contributes to the essence and well-being of our community. 4. To provide high quality play and learning equipment and opportunities that foster confidence, innovation, social interaction, positive language learning and cultural understanding. 5. To work cooperatively in partnership with individuals and groups to achieve the objectives of the Trust.
