Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide and operate a community transport service for the community in the Governors Bay Area, in particular for the disadvantaged and those without private cars, and for the recreation of the young and elderly, and transport for projects which help the elderly remain in the Community, and further to provide within the Governors Bay Area such Transport service for disabled persons as are agreed to with the body primarily responsible for providing such services within that area.

Entity Structure

The Board of trustees for the Governors Bay Transport Trust is comprised of five trustees. The committee of five plus an administrator meet every two months and minutes of the meetings are minuted, profit and loss accounts are presented at the meetings. Audited accounts are presented at the yearly Annual General Meeting, when reports are also presented along with election of officers.
