IT IS REVEALED IN THE HOLY BIBLE THAT THE PURPOSE OF THE ALMIGHTY, CREATOR GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, IS TO CALL OUT OF THIS WORLD A REDEEMED COMPANY OF PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN GLORY AND ETERNAL KINGDOM, WHICH PEOPLE HE CALLS HIS CHURCH, OF WHICH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, IS THE HEAD, THE FOUNDATION, THE CHIEF CORNER STONE, THE CHIEF APOSTLE, THE HIGH PRIEST AND THE CHIEF PASTOR, AND WHICH IS BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF THE APOSTLES AND PROPHETS. GOD HAS ORDAINED THAT THIS UNIVERSAL CHURCH SHOULD FIND ITS EXPRESSION IN AND THROUGH LOCAL CHURCHES ENJOINING HIS PEOPLE TO ASSEMBLE TOGETHER IN SUCH LOCAL CONGREGATIONS FOR WORSHIP, PRAYER, FELLOWSHIP, INSTRUCTION IN THE WORD OF GOD, COUNSEL, AND FOR THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY IN THE EXERCISE OF THOSE SPIRITUAL GIFTS AND OFFICES PROVIDED FOR IN THE NEW TESTAMENT FOR THE PROPAGATION OF THE GOSPEL.
