Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

a. Provide support to the community and parents with new-born’s by providing funds for the purchase of equipment/admin costs, intended for the purposes of breast milk donation. b. Provide support and assistance to community groups who would like to open their own Breast Milk Bank, either financially or by other means such as promotion or guidance. c. Uphold the World Health Organisation’s mandate on breast-feeding matters, called the Innocenti Declaration (1990), that promotes, protects and supports the breastfeeding environment based on the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative, Ten Steps to Breastfeeding (in particular step 6): d. Undertake such other activities and provide such other assistance, whether by way of financial assistance/support or otherwise as the Trustees see fit, of a charitable nature for the benefit of the New Zealand in respect of maternity matters. e. Assist caregivers who, for whatever reason, are required to bottle feed with an alternative to formula by giving...
