Charitable Purpose
We are affiliated to Coastguard New Zealand and Coastguard Northern Region.
We are improving the training provided to our volunteers as resources become available.
Improving the communication within our Unit and other Voluntary organisations in the area.
Making our Unit more efficient to enable us to achieve our goal of saving lives at sea, and being able to continue training.
Encouraging more volunteers to join us as they see the results we are achieving.
To be a properly functioning organisation we need to be properly trained and equipped to be able to operate successfully.
The organisation is on call day and night and we need to be functioning professionally.
More people are on the water visiting our area, and we need to be trained to assist when required in the event of coastguard or police call outs.
We need funding to help us achieve our goals of volunteer recruitment and continued training to keep our volunteer Unit professionally qualified to benefit our area.
