Charitable Purpose
The purposes of the Trust are as follows:
(a) to establish and develop library facilities for Asian books and literatures;
(b) to promote the advancement of education in Asian language, arts and culture for the general public in New Zealand through the library facilities set up by the Trust;
(c) to actively seek funding for the development of the library facilities to achieve the above objectives;
(d) without restricting the scope of the foregoing, to carry out any other purpose for the benefit of the community that the Trustees deem desirable and which is charitable according to the laws of New Zealand.

Entity Structure
The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees comprising three members. The current members of the Board are as follows:

The Board of Trustees meet on a monthly basis to discuss issues arose from operation, and make decision and recommendation where applicable.
In addition to the Board of Trustees, the operations are managed by a team of three paid employees, a facility manager, an event coordinator and a course instructor.
