Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Te Tuareka Trust purpose and mission is to nurture, revitalise and maintain our unique Cook Islands Maori language and heritage and keeping it alive to ensure its survival. We are doing this through: • Our Punanga Reo and Early Childhood Education Services • Homebased Networks • Playgroups • Management and Consultancy Services • Delivering Cook Islands language and culture workshops • Engaging with our communities here in New Zealand, the Cook Islands and beyond. The success of our vision is dependent on the support of our people and the wider community

Entity Structure

Organisations Structure Our Trust Deed states that we must have three (3) Trust members. We currently have three trustees that constitute our governance board, including three executive officer positions: • Chairperson • Treasurer • Secretary Our governing board work closely with our management team as determined by our annual work plan and priorities.
