Charitable Purpose

To advance the knowledge , practice and science of cardiology and the skills of cardiology practice with particular reference to (but not limited to) the Cardiology Unit at Wellington hospital. To support and advance research into cardiology and related disciplines. To fund the provision of resources designed to improve the cardiovascular health of the region.

Entity Structure

The Board of Trustees that oversees the Trust comprises 3 serving members of the Cardiology Department: Dr Stefan Alexander Sasse (head of department) ; Dr Sarah Louise Fairley ; Dr Matthew Webber. Applications for funding are considered by the Board as they arise. An annual meeting of the Board occurs after the end of the financial year to review the status of the trust and discuss longer term financial strategies.
