Charitable Purpose

The fostering of the music of the Highland Bagpipe in Christchurch and elsewhere. This Charitable Trust is a memorial to William Boyle to provide for the musical education of pipers and of persons interested in pipe music, both directly and through the creation of opportunities for them to advance their knowledge through classes, seminars, schools, recitals and competitions. Also to provide scholarships and grants of financial assistance to pipers and research considered likely to be of educational value, to enable them to obtain tuition to gain knowledge of and competence in their art.
