Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The continuing purpose of the trust is to support facilitators tutors and tauira students within the ACE sector and promote educational programs of Taranaki whaanau, in courses of learning like raaranga, mahitoi and taonga puhoro in particular, the trust will Deliver Maori community courses within Taranaki, in an informal manner for all learners of our community lifting and building confidence through positive engagement. We strive to continue to meet community aspirations for the development of all Taranaki Maaori rual, low socio ecanomic, disadvantaged, school leavers, diabled, special needs, those disengaed from formal scholling due to negative experiences in mainstream schooling system, institutionalised. Develop a forum relevant to Maori world views that safely explore the learning needs and strategies to engage the communities appropriately. Promote Te Reo Maori me ona tikanga, me ngaa mahi o ngaa tuupuna traditional courses of learning within a cuturally apropriate enviroment.

Entity Structure

The governance structure is as follows, Trustees make governing decisions in three annual meetings per year including an AGM where the is allocated a work plan. The voluntary Project Manager of the Trust over sees the administration of the trusts whāinga or purpose and objectives. Trustees are e elected at the AGM. The Trust meets 3x a annual year.
