Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purpose of the Trust is to educate and make people culturally aware, particularly the youth in our Gisborne Schools. 1. To provide a safe and secure environment for children to engage in and learn kaupapa Maori. 2. To offer a pathway to allow the school children of Turanganui a Kiwa to excel in the area of performing arts, particularly Kapa Haka. 3. To provide equal opportunities and pathways that will support and enhance the members of local schools and allow these children to showcase their skills through performance.

Entity Structure

The Executive Board will comprise no less than two Trustees and no more that sis Trustees. An executive committee will meet to decide issues that do not require the entire Board of Trustees to be present. These people will include Chairperson, the Vice Chairperson, the Secretary, the Treasurer, and two advisors as voted if required at and AGM.

Annual Returns
