PRINCIPLE
People living in the Hutt City having access to a high quality toy library.
OBJECTIVES
To operate a toy library service which is planned and operated to meet the needs of children aged up to five (5) years old.
Specifically to:
1. to bring good quality, well designed, and appropriate toys and equipment within the reach of children to help them reach their full potential;
2. provide an environment which is welcoming and caring for children and their families/whänau;
3. provide a well balanced service for children which responds to their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development and respects the
cultures of all families/whänau;
4. to inform parents/guardians/caregivers of the facilities and toys available and the best use of these toys and equipment for the benefit of their
children; and
5. liaise with other organisations providing services for children, and comment on policy and legislation affecting young children, advocating for their
needs.
