Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To develop and maintain an effective and efficient land search and rescue capability in the Manawatu and surrounding regions. Ensure that properly qualified and experienced searchers and management staff are available to assist the police during land search and rescue operations. Promote codes of safe practice. Act as an advocate at all levels for the needs and interests of PNSAR personnel. Promote the profile of LandSAR. Raise funds to ensure that PNSAR may operate effectively. Establish appropriate systems for representation and liaison with other SAR-related organisations
