Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purpose of the Celtic Pipe Band is promotion of playing the Great Highland Bagpipe and Pipe band style drumming, their music and tradition, through banding and teaching. Focus on learning: The Band is a competitive band with a significant focus on tuition and the introduction of young players into Pipe Banding. Through banding, young people will be provided with an opportunity to: grow musical talent, develop an understanding of commitment, pride and discipline, gain confidence through challenge and achievement, develop personal skills for life, have an appreciation of history and culture. Our vision is to be a nationally competitive highland pipe band, recognised for its high standards, positive culture and to be outstanding in all things we do.
