Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Trust was created to protect, maintain, enhance, develop and promote Te Whanganui O Hei Marine Reserve and associated terrestrial public reserves at Hahei. And to enhance and develop scenic, historical and recreational areas connected with the Marine Reserve for the benefit of the landscape, New Zealanders and visitors and to advocate for and promote the benefits of these natural areas. To provide for educational opportunities that increase interest, understanding and knowledge of these protected natural areas. To generate and invest resources into enhancing the biological value of the marine and associated terrestrial public reserves at Hahei.
