Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To encourage and promote healthy living amongst Tuvaluans within ten years. To support and nurture all Tuvaluan children to engage in higher education or trade training by 2027. To promote and maintain the Tuvalu culture in all aspects including the Tuvalu language. To educate and guide Tuvaluans towards economic self sufficiency by the year 2027. To foster a robust and vibrant spiritual lifestyle for all Tuvaluans. To assist and support educational, health, social, sports and economic developments of the Tuvalu community and Pacific people and communities. To work in partnership or otherwise with other individuals, organisations and entities to promote the social, cultural and economic independence of Tuvaluans and other Pacific people in Aotearoa. To contribute to the national economy and living harmoniously with other ethnic communities in New Zealand. To align with Government policies, initiatives and priorities.
