a) To establish and maintain a section of the Amateur Radio Emergency Communications (AREC), with qualified and experienced communications operators, to provide an emergency communications service in the Western Bay of Plenty, particularly, but not exclusively, for the Land Search and Rescue Organisation, and for Civil Defence. b) To co-operate with other AREC sections and like organisations, in the provision of emergency communications in other parts of New Zealand. c) To provide communications for sports clubs and other community groups, when such action would not impede emergency activities. d) To further the aims and objects of NZART, and to foster an interest in Amateur Radio and the related technology of radio and electronics, particularly within the Membership Area. e) To seek registration as an Incorporated Society as defined by the Societies Act. and to seek registration as a charitable entity as defined by the Charities Act. f) To provide training and education in radio the

(a) The business of the Club is to be entrusted to an Executive Committee consisting of the following Officers and Committee members.
