Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The objects of the Society are: 2.1. To give the queer and trans* community and the wider community access to positive and challenging images that reflect the diversity of queer and trans* culture. 2.2. To run a queer and trans* film festival in Wellington in 1995, and in future years provided members wish to organise future festivals. 2.3. To arrange and promote and encourage and assist queer and trans* film screenings or festivals in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and other parts of New Zealand as resources permit. 2.4. To undertake any activity which is in accordance with or incidental to these objects.

Entity Structure

The society is managed by an organising Committee based in Wellington which must comprise at least three members. Various other members serve on functional subcommittees eg programming (of films), promotion and publicity, venues and ticketing.
