Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

a) To establish and maintain THW Marae where anyone of any nationality or gender may equally and freely speak or participate, subject to his or her observance of the the rules and etiquette (kawa) of the THW Marae for the people of the Hibiscus and Bays communities. b) To purchase, lease, hire, take any gift, bequest or otherwise acquire for the purposes of the THW Marae any real or personal property and to hire, sell, license, manage, transfer, exchange, improve, alter, or otherwise deal with any part of the real or personal property of the THW Marae. c) To foster, promote, and encourage members to play an effective part in the social, educational, and economic development of the local Hibiscus and Bays communities. d) To promote the principals of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and foster a better understanding of the Bi-cultural Society we live in. e) To receive, hold, manage and minister the Society Fund for every Charitable Purpose benefiting the wider community as determined by the Exe
