Charitable Purpose

Koraunui Te Tohunga caters for the educational, cultural and econmomic wellbeing of children and their whanau. We also preserve, revive and maintain te reo maori, maori arts activities, crafts, sports and history in order to perpetuate maori culture and values. Koraunui Te Tohunga is based at Koraunui Marae.and this has the benefit of enabling the tamariki to experience in wider activities of the Marae.The Centre has been open since 2006.

Entity Structure

Our Trust deed states that we must have between three and seven trustees. We currently have five to seven trustees that constitute our governance board, including three excutive officer positions: president, treasurer and secretary. Operational Structure: Our operations are managed by a manager from Koraunui Marae for .6FTE , three qualified and registered earlychildhood teachers, two kaiwhina (support staff) and one administration staff.
