Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To build Christlike communities that reflect Tikanga Maori. In support of our mission to Te Manawa o Te Wheke we will act as a provider of Christian Ministry within Te Pīhopatanga o Aotearoa and promote the Anglican Consultative Council's 5 fold mission statement to; 1. Proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. 2. Teach, baptise and nurture new believers. 3. Respond to human need by loving service. 4. Seek to transform unjust structures of society. 5. Care for the environment.

Entity Structure

The Amorangi is governed by Te Hui Amorangi, the governing representative body and meets at least once a year chaired by the Bishop. The entity is guided by the principles of Te Tūāpapa. Te Hui Whaiti, the standing committee, meets quarterly and is responsible for the operational governance outside of Te Hui Amorangi.
