Charitable Purpose

The Himalayan Trust works to empower communities and reduce poverty in the Everest region of Nepal. In the spirit of friendship and goodwill, retaining the spirit of Sir Ed Hillary, the Himalayan Trust partners with the peoples of the Himalaya to achieve their aspirations through education, health, cultural, economic and environmental development. We will do this by • Developing strong community relationships in the Himalaya • Identifying local community needs • Developing Provider Partnerships • Providing targeted funding, mentoring and education, monitoring performance and auditing and reviewing outcomes
