Charitable Purpose

Our Vision: Mother of Divine Mercy Refuge is an effective community platform that provides safe refuge and a healing environment, to heal broken families; broken children and a broken spirit. Our Mission: To provide leadership in refuge support by offering an holistic, culturally appropriate, social support Service to Pacific peoples and the wider community. Our Values: Our service provision is based on mutual respect for others, including different cultures; creeds and other human perspectives. Ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients and their families in residence at our Refuge homes. The foundation of our service is built on Christian values. Our Key Objectives: To ensure our organisational culture, environment, internal systems, policies and procedures are both responsive and relevant to the needs of our client group. To develop and implement appropriate management and financial systems that ensure the long term sustainability of the Refuge service to the community.

Entity Structure

Trust Structure: The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees who are duly elected for a 1-Year Term at the Trust’s Annual General Meeting. The Trust Board comprises a Chairperson; Deputy Chairperson; Secretary; Treasurer and no more than five other members, in keeping with the Trust Deed. The Trustees oversee the organization's strategic direction and operations. In 2020 the Trust Board comprised of 6 Trustees.

Annual Returns

Annual Returns are due within 6 months of a charity’s balance date (financial year-end), or a longer period if an extension has been granted.

Note: Charities that use the Tier 4 Combined Form to file their annual returns do not need to file their financial statements separately. The financial statements are included in their annual return summary.

Exemptions
