To raise and distribute funds for programmes of justice, peace and integral human development. To be a voice for the Catholic Church on matters of justice, peace and development.

Entity Structure

Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand ("Caritas") is an agency of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference ("NZCBC"), established by the NZCBC as the national Catholic agency for justice, peace and development and accountable to the NZCBC for this work. Catholic Bishops Conference Securities Limited ("CBCSL") has been incorporated to provide the Conference with an entity that has separate civil legal status. As an agency of the NZCBC Caritas must abide by the Norms of the NZCBC.
