Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

The overall goal of Te Urumingi Whanau Trust is to act as guardians for the block land at Pungarehu in Taranaki known as Section 89 Block VIII Cape Survey District. The block of land is approximately 60.22 Hectares. On the 4th day of November 1996 Pungarehu B 2.19 Hectares and Pungarehu D 7.88 Hectares were also added to the Trust. On the 2nd day of October 2000 an order was made through the Maori Land Court vesting Omaru 2B1, 2B3 & 2B4 22.66 Hectares in the Trust. On the 21st of March 2017 an order was made through the Maori Land Court vesting Kai Iwi 1J Block 0.79 Hectare in the Trust.
