Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

EcoMatters was established in Aotearoa New Zealand in 2002, to support the community with the knowledge and tools to restore nature, grow food, reduce waste, ride and fix bikes, and live more sustainably. We also run workshops and provide opportunities for hands-on environmental action in Auckland. VISION: Communities where aroha, wairua and mauri thrive. MISSION: To nurture kaitiakitanga and help restore te taiao. PURPOSE: To be a tohu to connect people and place.
