Charitable Purpose

to improve the health of Pacific people in New Zealand by: • Empower Pacific people and care providers by providing the necessary resources to enable informed decisions on matters that will improve the health outcomes of Pacific people and their families • Raise funding to assist in research and workforce development initiatives that will enable delivery of its key objective. • Advocate for policies that improve the health of Pacific people. Purposes: The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund upon trust to pay or apply, in New Zealand, the income and the capital of the Trust fund to, and for, all such wholly or principally charitable or philanthropic purposes in such amounts, at such times, and subject to such terms and conditions as the Trustees may decide. 11. TRUST BOARD 11.1 The Trust Board shall comprise of the Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and four other members. 11.2 The Chairman shall not hold office for more than four consecutive years. 11.3 The Trust Board shall have the power to co-opt further members from all groups associated with the Foundation so as to ensure that all groups are represented on the Trust Board. 11.4 Any vacancy which may occur on the Trust Board shall be filled by a member elected by the Trust
