Charitable Purpose

COHSL's primary responsibility is to ensure the best possible health outcomes for our community. Our vision is to be recognised as a leading provider of rural health services in New Zealand. Our core role is as a provider of generalist medical, nursing and allied services within a rural framework. Our organisational mission is 'to provide and promote a health service that is clinically competent, efficiently delivered, well-coordinated, culturally appropriate and meets the changing service needs of the COHSL service area'.
