Charitable Purpose

To promote, encourage and advance the teaching and dissemination in New Zealand by His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet, of Buddhist teachings, practices and ethics, and promote in New Zealand, universal peace and understanding.

Entity Structure

The Dalai Lama Visit Trust New Zealand is governed and managed by a trust board. The trustees are appointed by the New Zealand Liaison Officer of the Office of Tibet, being an honorary organization representing the Tibetan Government in Exile. Only one trustee shall represent the New Zealand Liaison Office of the Office of Tibet on the trust board.
