Charitable Purpose
The Auckland Symphonic Band Inc. functions to empower people in Auckland to achieve a high standard of musicianship, and to promote and foster music in the community. We do this by:
(a) providing opportunities to perform a broad category of music in the community
(b) providing a progressive path from junior band to a senior band
(c) creating opportunities for interaction with more experienced players in a large ensemble
(d) supplying instruments that may not be otherwise available or affordable
(e) arranging a number of public concerts each year, some of which may be fundraising concerts on behalf of worthy charities.
