Charitable Purpose

Orongomai Marae is a Not for Profit Organisation it was established in 1974. It was a dream for many whanau in Upper Hutt to have a place to hold funerals, weddings and birthdays. Orongomai Marae strive to preserve and promote the expressions and enrichment of the language and culture of our country. * Provide whanau awhi of all ages from Pepi to Kaumatua * Develop work skills that enhance employment opportunities * Support the kaupapa of whanau violence E Tu whanau * Walk the journey of whanau being released from prison * Build an environment of Health and Safety for the community * Promote Para Kore – Zero waste
