Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

We are a voluntary subcommittee appointed pursuant to the Reserves Act and the Local Government Act by the Buller District Council to administer and manage specific reserves within our area. Council has delegated these powers as the administering body. The function of the subcommittee is to administer, and manage the reserves under its control and the powers delegated are restricted to that extent via terms of reference. The committee is a non-profit making organisation, which aims to retain, maintain & improve where possible the Ngakawau Domain grounds and facilities for the community as a whole. Our objective is to try and ensure that they remain in good conditions for future generations to use and enjoy.
