Charitable Purpose
The mission of Dunedin Choral Society Incorporated which are limited to and established for exclusively charitable purposes in New Zealand is present classical choral music concerts to a professional standard for the enjoyment of the wider Dunedin community. The purpose of the Society, which are limited to and established exclusively for charitable purposes in New Zealand are:
(a) to encourage the performance and enjoyment of choral music,
(b) to present concerts and entertainments of whatever kinds to members of the Society and to the public generally and to fix and levy charges for admission to such concerts, entertainments or any other activity organised by the Society.
(c) to join, become a member of, associate or amalgamate with any other society or association having objects or interests similar to or in association with the objects of the Society provided that any such society or association is limited to and established exclusively for charitable purposes in New Zealand.

Entity Structure
The management and control of the affairs of the Society is entrusted to the Committee. The election of the Committee takes place at the Annual Meeting of the Society by members present and entitled to vote. The principal officers of the Society consist of a Patron, Vice Patron, President, two or more Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian, Musical Director, Assistant Conductor and Accompanist who shall by virtue of their office be deemed to be Active Members for the purpose of a quoru
