Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide an effective and efficient land search and rescue capability in the Horowhenua and surrounding regions by: Maintaining capability within the group by providing training appropriate to the roles required; Providing properly qualified and experienced advisors and management staff to assist Police when required; Ensuring a pool of trained, capable and experienced SAR personnel are available where and when required; Establishing, recommending, or implementing safe practices; Acting as an advocate at all levels for the needs and interests of LandSAR personnel
