Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To work together to promote educational and social activities as a means of increasing understanding between cultures and strengthening New Zealand society. 1.- To foster cultural awareness & unity among the ethnic groups of the greater Auckland area 2.- To experience and learn the customs and ways of life of the ethnic groups represented in the Society 3.- To promote understanding and appreciation of the various cultures represented in the Society 4.- To work together in partnership as a non-political organisation for the future multicultural development of New Zealand 5.- To work together on cultural, educational, social and sporting events to further the above objectives 6.- To promote and publicise the objectives and work of the Society 7.- To undertake other activities which may be conductive to the obtainment of the above objectives.

In June we hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elect a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Committee members from the membership. Those role are in volunteer bases. Our account must be Audited. At the AGM we appoint the Auditor.
