To promote and assist the teachings and practice of the Kagyupa Mahamudra Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. To provide an opportunity for all people of the Tairawhiti and East Coast region to have access to Buddhist teachings and practice.

The Palpung Kagyu Samten Choling Tibetan Budhhist Trust is an official Branch of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India. The Trust, operates and manages a Buddhist temple and Lama residence for Guru Vajradhara, His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa Rinpoche who is also the spiritual Director of the Trust.
