Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To recognise and support all forms of musical activity. Fostering the study and performance of traditional choral, orchestral and operatic works, and also encouraging contemporary composition and varieties of musical expression. Developing networks within the music community and partnering arts organisations to achieve common goals regionally and nationally. Co-operating with organisations which share similar objectives throughout New Zealand. Encouraging and supporting musical concerts, events and festivals to foster understanding and enjoyment of music for all ages.
