Our Mission Statement - INSPIRE THE COMMUNITY INSPIRE – we inspire the community and all who are involved with the Gallery, to be creative. COMMUNITY – The Gallery is completely community focused. It is a unique place to experience art of all mediums, and we are promoting not only our established members, but new artists, fresh to the Arts scene. • The Upstairs Gallery is ultimately a place that supports new artists, young and old. • The Upstairs Gallery is well respected by the community and a place for everyone to connect with art. • We welcome new artists not only local but from all over New Zealand. Our Purpose: To promote and encourage all forms of art and community participation, providing a place for everyone to experience and explore art. Our diversity statement: The Upstairs Gallery is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment for all people who work, volunteer, or visit. We respect and value all people.
