The Lions club of Whangarei Hatea Charitable Trust is run by a minimum of four trustees. The Trust works in conjunction with the Lions Club of Hatea, an incorporated society, to identify assistance programmes for the community of Whangarei. The Trustees and members are all volunteers with one Trustee retiring at each Annual General Meeting (that person is eligible to re-stand for appointment should they choose to do so).
