Charitable Purpose

At Pipitea, our image of tamariki is based on the belief that they are competent, inquisitive, active explorers capable of leading their own learning journeys, as well as inspiring others. We are committed to developing respectful relationships, valuing open communication and promoting inclusiveness in all that we do. We acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa New Zealand, and are committed to embracing our bi-cultural heritage. Our curriculum supports tamariki to set the pace for their own learning and develop according to individual and group interests. Providing quality education and care is at the heart of what we do here, and we are firmly grounded in the knowledge that family/whanau is what forms the backbone of our community. We strive to support nga tamariki sense of mana whenua (belonging) here.
