Charitable Purpose

To restore and preserve steam and diesel locomotives, rolling stock and any other relevant ancillary equipment deemed necessary to operational standards. To maintain, be responsible for, and provide facilities for steam and diesel locomotives, rolling stock and equipment owned by the society. To promote the activities set out in that section of the Constitution titled Activities in the Gisborne - Wairoa area. To provide, develop and maintain a museum of steam & diesel locomotives and memorabilia.
