Charitable Purpose
The pupose of the Golden Bay Housing Trust is to provide a community housing orgaanisation for the Golden Bay region which will benefit the community by meeting the accomodation needs of households unable to find suitable rented housing in the private sector. The objectives of the Trust are to provide accommodation at an affordable cost; to provide a range of options including rental and low cost home ownership; to own, acquire, lease or dispose of land and dwellings in accordance with the aim of increasing access to affordable social housing by those persons in housing need; to maintain social housing as its core business; and to seek and receive donations, subsidies, grants, loans and endowments, whether in money, land or in kind for the purpose of meeting all or any objects of the Trust.
