Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purposes and aims of the Trust are to devote or apply both capital and income of the Trust Fund to or for any charitable purposes principally within New Zealand which are from time to time selected by the Trustees and are valid charitable purposes. Without limiting this in any way, such purposes may include: a) to uphold, maintain and propagate the Christian faith in New Zealand by: (i) teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ on tertiary campuses, particularly the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, in New Zealand, and (ii) teaching and equipping men and women to teach others the Gospel of Jesus Christ on tertiary campuses, particularly the University of Canterbury, Christchurch in New Zealand.

Entity Structure

The Trust is made up of a group of trustees (minimum of five and a maximum of nine) who agree to the Statement of Belief appended to the Trust Deed. The trustees meet no less than once per annum to review accounts and make decisions about the allocation of available funds.
