Charitable Purpose
The purpose of the Trust is to promote intercultural harmony, in particular between African communities within Aotearoa/New Zealand and the wider community.
• promote understanding within African communities in Aotearoa/New Zealand of the Treaty of Waitangi and its implications;
• promote an appreciation of the rich cultural heritage and histories of African peoples;
• promote the preservation and celebration of African cultural traditions within African communities in Aotearoa/New Zealand;
• stage performances of plays by African writers and writers of the African diaspora;
• promote other social, cultural and educational activities that further the Trust’s primary aims.
