Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

the purpose of Tamaki Playcentres Association is to support and enable Tamaki Playcentres to be safe and supportive communities providing creative and complete early childhood education for the whanau/family. Tamaki Playcentres are non-profit parent-led licensed early childhood education services.

Entity Structure

Tamaki Playcentres Association is an incorporated society with approximately 40 part time and casual employees including the President, Secretary, Treasurer and a management team responsible for the day to day running of the association. The members of the association are 16 playcentres within South and East Auckland. Each playcentre is run by a volunteer parent co-operative. Tamaki Playcentres Association is a member of the New Zealand Playcentre Federation.
