Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide safe, affordable and comfortable venues for community activities. To promote opportunities for people of all ages in the wider area to meet, organise and to participate in enjoyable activities that will result in real development of a community spirit while promoting each of their individual organisations. To manage the Community Centre in a way that is efficient, friendly, and responsive to the needs of the community, and to give them a sense of ownership and pride.

Entity Structure

The Epsom Community Centre is run by a Management Committee consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer plus members of various user groups. The Centre Manager is on site every week day and is available to help the users. She handles the booking of rooms and all the financial transactions as well as liaising with the Auckland City Council regarding maintenance and other issues. She also takes care of the website and newsletter content and prepares Term Programmes.
